Our Team

Our team specializes exclusively in financial and estate planning, focusing our efforts on simplifying the donation of appreciated real estate through Charitable Remainder Trusts. Below are the biographies of key management team members.

Phil Bangerter, Managing Director

Phil Bangerter is the President and Managing Director of RealGiving Solutions. Mr. Bangerter has over 20 years experience as a principal and operator providing financial, legal and managerial acumen to the various business entities that he either established or acquired. These businesses have covered a wide range of industries including financial services, equipment leasing, integrated technologies, hospitality, real estate and health care.

Prior to joining RGS, he held board and officer positions in the various business ventures. Prior to this, Mr. Bangerter was president of Southeast Bank Leasing Company and Vice President of Southeast Bank, NA. Mr. Bangerter holds a BA in applied mathematics from Harvard University.

Chad Greenberg, Director of Business Development

Chad Greenberg is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for RealGiving Solutions. Mr. Greenberg brings nearly 15 years of experience in the accounting and financial services field. Mr. Greenberg is not only a licensed CPA, he also carries multiple securities licenses as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) designation as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) which is awarded to CPAs who demonstrate expertise in the field of financial planning.

Prior to joining RGS, he was a Co-Founder and Vice President of IXG, a National Qualified Intermediary for 1031 exchanges. In this capacity, he was instrumental in growing the business from start-up to one of the top qualified intermediaries in the nation which led to a sale of the company. At IXG, Mr. Greenberg was responsible for training, educating and management of sales and consultants in more than 10 distinct national markets. Furthermore, he has conducted certified education courses for realtors, CPAs, financial planners and attorneys for more than 10 years on real estate, tax, and financial planning topics. Mr. Greenberg holds a BA in accounting from the University of Colorado.

Drew McCabe, Operations Manager

Drew McCabe is the Operations Manager for RealGiving Solutions. Mr. McCabe has extensive experience in operations, management and marketing. He holds the Certified Exchange Specialist Designation (CES™), the only certification program in the 1031 exchange industry.

Prior to joining RGS, Mr. McCabe was the Co-Founder/Vice President/Director of Operations of IXG, a National Qualified Intermediary for 1031 exchanges. In this capacity, he was instrumental in growing the business from start-up to one of the top qualified intermediaries in the nation which led to a sale of the company. He also initiated the consolidation of four operating offices into one, implemented and simplified order processing and contact management. Mr. McCabe holds a BS in business administration and management with a minor in marketing from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado.
